Tans Currumbin has moved
Our Currumbin full time centre has moved to a better
location. We are now at 6 Stewart Rd, Currumbin.
Opposite Mitre 10 next to the Boat shop. Class times remain
the same. |

Korea-Aus Cultural Exchange.
On Monday 26 July, Our sister club from Daegu
Korea visited our centre. We trained together, then
our Korean friends put on a demonstration of poomse and
skipping. That evening our Korean friends stayed over at
some of our student's homes. It was a great cultural
experience for everyone.

Gold, 5 Silver & 5 Bronze in Korea
Students
and Instructors from Tans Currumbin have spent the last 10 days in
Korea at 2 competitions. Both competitions had over 1000
competitors.

Inaugural
Grading
On
Sunday we had the first use of our new headquarters at
Coorparoo. More than 100 students attended the inaugural
grading at Coorparoo. Liam Tan, son of Michael and Claudia
attained his provisional yellow belt grading. In attendance
were both sets of grandparents.

Welcome to the 1st Tans AFL tipping competition. As most
of our instructors are ex-Victorians, it was appropriate to start
a footy tipping competition for fun.
Prizes and trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Last. Free to

3rd Grading
Comp the best ever

More than 170 students participated in the 3rd Interclub
competition. As an added bonus, medals were award based on
performance and sportsmanship.
We have 150 photos posted up, but more are to follow. I think we
got a photo everyone who fought thanks to Sunnybank manager Matthew
Anderson.
$129 was also raised which will go to our Korean Orphanage.
Well done to all those who participated and supported the
event. |

Ky-Tu Seminars
- 22-23 April
World Poomse Champion Ky-Tu is coming to Brisbane to conduct a
series of seminars. A personal friend of Master Tan, Ky-Tu
was last here in 2002 before the World Poomse Championships were
formed. Since then, there has been great development in
poomse training and competition.
Currently there is a Black Belts only seminar on Thursday 22
April at our Buranda hall. There will also be a general
seminar on Friday 23 April at Clayfield. Please contact
Master Michael tan if you are interested in attending.

old Hall As from 15th March, we will be
returning to the Community hall. Times will be 5.30 - 7.30 pm on
both Monday & Wednesday. Sunnybank Community Hall Cnr
