8th ITCO Championships - KL Malaysia

Over 1200 Competitors attended the largest ever ITCO (International Taekwondo Clubs Organisation) from some 16 countries.  

Of our 6 players Thomas won gold , Tarmara and Heather won Bronze.  THomas had 4 fights defeating 2 Korean University competitors on the way to winning Australias only Open Male black belt division.

Ben unfortunately broke his arm defending a counter kick from the Iranian finalist.  It was Ben's second fight after defeating Malaysia in his fight round by 10  points.  Eliousie, Tarmara and Heather all won their opening matches while Brogan came up against a strong player from Thailand in.  After the competition, the team trained at Master Kevin Woon's club.  Master Kevin, then took us out for dinner at the local Seafood restaurant with some of his instructors.

All in all it was a relaxing competition and tour.  Much experience was gained for our developing players.  It was great to see everyone had a good time and supporteded each other well.  Next year we plan on taking a team of juniors and seniors to Korea in July.
