Dan Grading 2nd February 2008

Our first Dan grading of the year was held early to allow Shane, Ben, Daniel and Jo to travel to the USA 3 days later.  Fortunately no injuries during the grading.  Ben Hartmann was relieved as he was preparing to compete 5 days later in New Orleans at the US Open.  The Instructors and students performed exceptionally.  Mr Lee was most impressed with the high level of terminology known by our students.  Our club prides itself on knowing the historically events and masters who have made Taekwondo what it is today.  Korean terminology is also important especially for black belts who are in contact with others all over the world.  It is a way we can communicate with others who practise Taekwondo.  Taekwondo is global art, so knowing more about Taekwondo allows us to share many things with others in our World Taekwondo family.

The following students successfully passed the recent Dan Grading held at Caboolutre.

  • Shane Hartmann - 5th Dan
  • Wayne Mahoney - 5th Dan
  • Ben Hartmann - 4th Dan
  • Daniel Hartmann - 4th Dan
  • Jo Hartmann - 4th Dan
  • Aimee Lakerdis - 3rd Poom
  • Chris Lakerdis    - 2nd Poom
