Dear
Students & Parents
Easter
is nearly here and our first grading is fast approaching. We hope
everyone is enjoying training, especially with clubs focusing on sport
Taekwondo. Olympic sparring is a big part of Taekwondo and an
experience we want to share with all students. Through competition
training, students will refine their skills for sparring and develop
better focus.
For
those who enjoy the competition, we shall be putting a Brisbane team
together for the Gold Coast Open. Students can enter any of the 3
events at the Gold Coast Open.
On
a final note, there are a number of public holidays coming up.
Please note there is no training on public holidays. However
normal classes will continue of school holidays.
Sincerely
Michael
Tan

Assistant
Instructors
With
the large number of junior yellow and blue belts, we am looking to
appoint some senior students as assistant instructors. If you are
interested in being an instructor, please let us know during
class. Even if you can only come 30 mins earlier to the junior
class, your assistance
will be much appreciated. |

With
the large number of juniors at Buranda, we are looking at making the

March grading. |

By
now everyone should have received their new water bottle, grading book
and key ring. The grading book gets stamped after each successful
grading. It also has the grading syllabus, patterns and
terminology sheets. Students should use this as their first point
of reference. |

Gold
Coast Open
Each year Tans runs the biggest and most
successful competition in Queensland. It is run on the same basis
as our grading comp. This year we have changed the name from the
Tans Open to the Gold Coast Open. The name change was made because
we have many competitors from NZ and the other states such as VIC, NSW,
SA, WA & ACT. Promoting the Gold Coast is our way of making
the event bigger and better. Club members can watch free of charge. |
